Linda O’Kane grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She went to boarding school in Surrey and later married an antiques dealer during which time she lived in Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. Always a maker and creative, she started her own business as a decorative artist, painting walls, floors and furniture. When she later split from her husband, she returned to Belfast and after many different jobs including painting kitchens, shop merchandising and window dressing, Linda became a florist, arranging wedding and special occasion flowers. Linda’s great love for the home goes way back to her early years when she bought interior magazines with her pocket money and was always fascinated by abandoned buildings. During the winter, she would also spend the twilight hours trying to catch a glimpse at houses through warmly lit windows.
